Katonah Man Accused Of Stealing Lawn Signs
Police had originally received a complaint about 12 stolen signs concerning a meeting about a cell tower.
BEDFORD, NY — Bedford police have made an arrest in the case of lawn signs stolen from around town. Laurence Seegers of Katonah was charged with petit larceny and fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, misdemeanors.
Bedford police said they received a complaint Sept. 16 about 12 lawn signs from around town that had been stolen.
The signs were informational in nature, authorities said, regarding an upcoming meeting about a possible residential cell tower.

In the following days, the department said it received more complaints from other associations about their signs being stolen.

Seegers turned himself in to Bedford police Sept. 25.
He was released on his own recognizance and scheduled to return to Bedford Justice Court Oct. 2.
