KSDT's First Friday in July Traditions

Friday, July 10th was the first Friday regular season Katonah Swim & Dive Team practice of the 2015 season and clearly there was enthusiasm and anticipation in the air!

It was TEAM PHOTO DAY!!! And KSDT was looking terrific in their new purple suits.

After lining up everyone in size order, the picture was complete a little before 8am.   Then, in keeping with long standing tradition, the team eagerly entered the pool for a morning of fun games as opposed to “regular practice“ of monotonous laps.

As the clock neared 8:45am, the excitement grew and the Blue Fish (new swimmers to the team) headed to the picnic tables to partake in another KSDT tradition…. . DONUT FRIDAY!

Donut Friday is a long standing KSDT tradition. After swim practice on Friday mornings – not just Team Photo Day -- all KSDT swimmers can pick out the donut they have earned all week!!! But, Blue Fish get first choice. And once all the KSDT swimmers and coaches pick out the donut of their choice, brothers and sisters (and even parents) can buy a donut for a quarter. And not to leave the divers out, the KSDT divers enjoy Ice Pop Fridays after practice on Fridays during the regular season!
