Lewisboro Good Samaritans Honored

Two local men were recognized this week for their heroic actions by Westchester County and Town of Lewisboro officials.

Tom Ritchey—who saved a Vista man's life while on duty as a Lewisboro Police Office—and Billy Gossett, who stopped an abduction and car theft from happening in Katonah, each had proclamations read in their honor at the Lewisboro town board meeting on May 20.

Bob Goett, who is alive and back home with his family after Ritchey used a defibrillator and administered life-saving CPR to him on May 5, presented a letter thanking to him, read by Peter DeLucia, town councilman.

Gossett was publicly thanked for coming to the aid of a local woman and keeping her out of harm's way after a man tried to force her out of her driver's seat and take her with the vehicle.  Gossett is credited with helping to prevent the abduction and theft.
