Man Caught Doing 108 MPH In Work Zone: Police
The active work zone had a posted speed limit of 55 mph, police said.

BEDFORD, NY — State police accused a 20-year-old man of going more than 100 mph through a construction zone in the Town of Bedford. On Sunday, police from the Troop K Traffic Incident Management detail arrested Nicholas A. Zervas, 20, of Southeast, for reckless driving, a misdemeanor.
Police said Zervas was seen traveling at 108 mph in a marked and active construction zone that had a posted speed limit of 55 mph on I-684.
A trooper from the detail issued tickets for reckless driving, speeding in a work zone, along with two other vehicle and traffic violations.

The Traffic Incident Management detail has completed more than 95,000 hours of dedicated work zone traffic enforcement statewide each year since 2008, according to the state police.
