NYSEG Outages In Northeast Westchester, Putnam: UPDATE

NYSEG had 17,000 customers out across the state due to high winds. breaking

10 p.m. — The number of outages rose in Putnam County Monday afternoon and evening. As of 10 p.m. NYSEG reported 389 customers out in Putnam County, all but three in Mahopac. There were 651 outages in Westchester, most of those in Pound Ridge. Estimated restoration time was before 1 a.m. Tuesday.


NYSEG reports 1,000 customers without power in northeast Westchester, just one county among the 34 counties where crews are dealing with outages on Monday. The utility company already restored half of the 20,000 customers out as of Monday morning in upstate Erie County.

As of 1 p.m., there were 61 outages in Putnam County, most in Putnam Valley; and 87 in Dutchess County, most in Dover.
