Police ID Bedford Hills Man Killed In Parkway Crash

BEDFORD HILLS, NY — Police identified the man killed Saturday in a collision on the Saw Mill River Parkway.

James S. Poli Jr., 37, of Bedford Hills, died after he rear-ended a car on the parkway around 7 p.m., according to a spokesman for the Westchester County Police.

Authorities said the accident happened in the vicinity of Route 117/Cherry Street.

Poli struck another car, after which he went off the road and struck a tree.

He was alone in the vehicle and was ejected.

Poli was pronounced dead at the scene.
