Road Closure In Town Of Bedford Thursday

BEDFORD, NY — There is a road closure in the Town Bedford Thursday morning. NY Route 172 at Sarles Street is closed in both directions due to a downed pole and wire.

The incident occurred at 9:45 a.m., officials said.

Detours have been set up as follows:

• Westbound — West Patent Road to Guard Hill Road to McLain Street and back onto NY 172
• Eastbound — McLain Street to Guard Hill Road to West Patent Road and back onto NY 172
