Severe T-Storms, Isolated Tornado Possible In Hudson Valley

Hazardous weather outlooks have been issued Thursday for the mid- and lower Hudson Valley.

The Hudson Valley could be in for some severe weather Thursday. The National Weather Service has issued hazardous weather outlooks for the entire region.

For Orange, Putnam, Rockland and Westchester counties, for Thursday and Thursday night, strong to locally severe thunderstorms are possible late in the afternoon and into the evening, mainly across the interior.

Some of these storms may be capable of producing damaging winds and hail.

For Columbia, Dutchess and Ulster counties, the NWS said there is a marginal to slight risk of severe thunderstorms Thursday afternoon into the evening with the greatest risk west of the Hudson River.

The main threat is for damaging winds, however hail and even an isolated tornado cannot be ruled out.
