Severe Thunderstorm Watch Issued For Hudson Valley
An isolated tornado could not be ruled out, the National Weather Service said.

Severe weather may be on the way to the Hudson Valley. The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm watch which is in effect until 9 p.m. Wednesday.
The counties that are included are Columbia, Dutchess, Orange, Putnam, Rockland and Westchester.
Hazardous weather outlooks were issued earlier in the day for the region.

The NWS said there was a slight risk of severe thunderstorms Wednesday afternoon for Orange, Putnam, Rockland and Westchester counties and that an isolated tornado could not be ruled out.
For the mid-Hudson Valley there could be damaging winds, hail, lightning and brief heavy rainfall.
