There's a lot going on for Small Business Saturday, says the Katonah Chamber of Commerce.

“Shop early, shop often, and shop local!” says the Katonah Chamber of Commerce.
Also on Saturday, Santa will be in Katonah, greeting children of all ages. The festivities begin at 11 a.m. behind the Chase Bank.

Here’s a good explanation from the San Francisco Locally Owned Merchants Association: “It’s a simple fact: for every $100 spent, locally owned independent businesses generate $68 in local economic activity. National chains generate only $43. And out-of-state online sellers who don’t collect sales tax are virtually a total drain on the local economy.”
