Single, Double Lane Closures Expected On I-684

BEDFORD, NY — Motorists are advised that various single and double lane closures are expected on Interstate 684 northbound and southbound, between Exit 4 (Route 172) and Exit 6 (NY Route 35) in the Town of Bedford, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. beginning Monday, Aug. 26 continuing Sunday through Thursday nights until further notice, while crews perform construction activities, weather permitting.

Motorists should anticipate delays and plan accordingly.

Drivers are asked to use caution when traveling through the work zone area and pay particular attention to all traffic control devices, including signs and flaggers.

Motorists are reminded that fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license.
