A 60-year-old Somers man, who was walking toward the Goldens Bridge train station Monday morning, was found dead on the side of the road from what appears to be a medical condition, state police told Patch.
A passing motorist spotted the man who was lying on the ground at around 6:30 a.m. and stopped to help. Several other motorists also stopped and rendered aid prior to police arrival, Senior Investigator Patrick Bosley of the state police Somers barracks said.Â
The man showed some signs of life, state police said. Emergency responders tried to revive him and transported him to the Putnam Hospital Center where he was later pronounced dead.Â
Police have not yet released the man's identity.Â
Bosley said they are awaiting word from the Westchester medical examiner, but the cause of death appears to be due to a medical condition.Â
