NOTICE TO BIDDERS

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN the Town Clerk of the Town of Bedford will receive sealed bids until 1:00pm, June 10, 2021 at the office of the Town Clerk, 321 Bedford Road, Bedford Hills, New York 10507 for the provision / furnishing of poured in place “ready-mix” concrete to be utilized in the construction of concrete sidewalks, curbs, driveway entries, footings, foundations, etc.

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that based upon notices and health advisories issued by Federal, State and Local officials related to the COVID-19 virus, the reading of bids will take place via Zoom videoconferencing as permitted under the Governor of the State of New York’s Emergency Order Number 202.1, due to public health and safety concerns, the public will not be permitted to attend this bid opening in person. The public will have an opportunity to see and hear the meeting live and provide comments via the Zoom videoconference.

INSTRUCTIONS TO ACCESS THE VIRTUAL BID OPENING: If you have a computer, tablet or smartphone, you can register, log in and see the video and hear the audio of the live session. You can access the Zoom meeting through the ZOOM meeting website at https://zoom.us/j/96962953287?pwd=WDVKL0tkMGNBYzhmeDJZUklhL1o4QT09and clicking on “Join a Meeting”, and enter meeting ID 969 6295 3287 and passcode 695543 You can also call in to the ZOOM meeting at +1 646 558 8656 when prompted, enter 969 6295 3287.

Specifications and proposal forms may be downloaded from the bottom left side of the Town’s Department of Public Works website under BIDS, which can be accessed under the Departments menu at www.bedfordny.gov, from May 21, 2021 to June 10, 2021. Vendors that download the specifications are required to provide their company name, email address, phone number, and mailing address by email to highway@bedfordny.gov in order to receive any bid addenda that may be issued.

Bid prices shall remain in effect for all orders placed after July 1, 2021 and for delivery on or before July 1, 2022.  The Town will consider renewing the contract with the vendor awarded the bid each year for up four (4) years (i.e. up until July 1, 2026) at current pricing if mutually agreeable to the Town of Bedford and the vendor awarded this contract.

The Town of Bedford reserves the right to accept any bid in whole or in part and to reject any or all bids, as considered to be in the best interests of the Town of Bedford.

No bidder may withdraw their bid within thirty (30) days after the date of the bid opening.

All bids must be enclosed in a sealed envelope plainly marked “Bid for Poured in Place Concrete Contract”  June 10, 2021” on the outside of the envelope. Bids to be returned to the TOWN CLERK, 321 Bedford Road, Bedford Hills, New York 10507.
