Two KSDT team records broken in its first win of the season

14 and under Katonah Swim and Dive Team boys dominate in 282-219 win over Lakeside

The 14 and under boys broke two records, swept 2 individual events and went 1-2 in the others to propel KSDT to a victory over new-to-Division II Lakeside.

Brian Crane broke the team record for 50-meter butterfly with a time of 28.59 seconds, beating Kaz Sampson’s previous record time of 29.09. Zach Boies took more than a full second off the old 100-meter freestyle record with a blistering 58.00 seconds. In both of these record-breaking events, the KSDT boys finished 1-2-3.

Under ominous-looking skies, the meet began with Gabriella DeCicco and Samantha Spieler taking first and second place in the girls 13 and under diving. Gabriella also dived for the girls 18 and under, taking second place with Luna Pagan securing a 4th for the team. Pat Kelly, the only boy diver for Katonah, earned first place in the 18 and under event.
