Our problem is we are not alone as a great country anymore. We still want to be the top dog, only we live in a global economy that is extremely competitive. We are still finding our way and how we fit in with the new global economy. There are a number of top dogs and they are all fighting to be competitive and do well.
We found out during the pandemic we do not make a great deal of the PPE equipment. It gets exported from overseas where the PPE equipment is made well and cost effective. We now make many cloth masks and still for the most part do not make a great deal of the PPE equipment.
When we go to our favorite store and buy a top of the line pair of pants, they are most likely not made in the USA. They are made just as well and at a fraction of the cost it would be to make it here.

After this election we need to come together as we have many miles to go to reinvigorate our economy and live in a world free of worry about the virus.

If we spend the next ten years fighting the same political battles we have, WE WILL NOT BE GREAT anymore.
The world has changed and continues to do so. We need to adapt and work to fit America into the world economy. We have a very multicultural country and it will continue to be so into the future. We need to integrate all, into an America that has fairness and opportunities for all. The future is not going to be easy, but that much harder if we are a house divided.
After the election we need to take a deep breath and find common ground. No politician(s) who wins will be a savior without the support of all.
