Election Day is here. If you haven't already voted early, hopefully you're getting ready to head to the polls today.

In Nassau County, voters will be decided on the makeup of the entire County Legislature, as well as the district attorney. In the Town of Hempstead, voters will be casting ballots for about half of the Town Board, as well as the supervisor, clerk and receiver of taxes.

Nassau County

District Attorney: Democratic incumbent Madeline Singas is facing Republican challenger Frank McQuade.

Town of Hempstead

Supervisor: Democratic incumbent Laura Gillen is facing Republican challenger Donald Clavin and independent challenger Diane Madden.

Town Clerk: Democratic incumbent Sylvia Cabana is facing Republican challenger Kate Murray.

Receiver of Taxes: Republican Jeanine Driscoll is facing Democrat Chandra Ortiz for the seat being vacated by Don Clavin.

Town District 5: Republican Christopher Carini is challenging Democrat Lora Webster for the seat vacated by Erin King Sweeney.
