Bellmore Curriculum Chief Granted Tenure

Dr. Joanne Dacek has been rewarded for her curriculum leadership in the Bellmore Elementary School District.

The district’s Assistant to the Superintendent for Instructional Services was granted tenure effective July 1, 2013 at Tuesday night’s board of education meeting. Dacek first joined Bellmore’s administrative team on July 1, 2010.

“Dr. Dacek has displayed commitment and dedication to the district in working to assure that students are afforded every opportunity to succeed and staff members are given the tools to provide those opportunities,” said Bellmore Superintendent Dr. Joseph S. Famularo during Thursday’s board of education meeting held at Winthrop Avenue School. “Her collegial manner and openness to new ideas and approaches has resulted in creative and successful outcomes for many curriculum committees and reviews she has overseen.”
