Bellmore Dog Needs Help

The owners need to come up with a $250 owner surrender fee as well as an additional $75 to get the pup up to date on all of his shots.

A Bellmore Patch Facebook user reached out to us to help spread the word about Chronic, her dog.

Chronic is a 10 1/2 y/o Rhodesian Ridgeback mix with the heart of a puppy. He is a sweet heart who is good with people just not other dogs. ... When my fiancé moved in with me at my mother’s house 3 1/2 years ago, he had to leave Chronic behind at his father’s house since I have two dogs here and they would not all get along with each other. Last year, shortly after we had a baby, my fiancé’s father decided to up and leave and abandon Chronic. My fiancé’s aunt and uncle who were renting the house to his father let Chronic stay there for almost a year but now that the house is sold they want him out by Tuesday or “if you don’t figure it out I’m bringing the dog and tying him on your gate Tuesday after the closing so you better figure something out quick”. ... Unfortunately, we are not financially able to move out and get our own place at this time. We did, however, manage to find a very nice woman who runs an animal rescue approximately one hour away who is willing to help us. ... However, we need to come up with the $250 owner surrender fee as well as an additional $75 to get Chronic up to date on all of his shots. ... This is our only hope of saving Chronic’s life. Please help us.
