Bellmore Presbyterian Church Welcomes Its New Youth Ministry Leader

Bellmore Presbyterian Church, Youth Minister, Teens

Bellmore Presbyterian Church proudly welcomes its new Youth Leader Pastor Amy Fortunato to the BPC staff.

Youth Rock at Bellmore Presbyterian Church, and the members have expressed their authentic interest in the young people in their faith community and beyond.  The Reverend Dr. James Barnum has always encouraged forming relationships at the church and intentional outreach as a way of life in the faith community.

Pastor Amy writes that she has a wonderful husband for the past 24 years, and three young adult children.  She completed a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, and a master’s degree in Theology.  “I really care for our young people. The youth at Bellmore Presbyterian Church are becoming individuals, as well as young adults.”  She hopes to encourage their faith in Christ; which she considers God’s greatest gift of love and grace.  She anticipates offering our young adults friendship/fellowship, spiritual guidance/growth and an opportunity for church and community service.  Currently, Amy is pleased to be a Teacher’s Assistant at New York Theological Seminary.

Her first event under the ”Uth Group” was to go Christmas Caroling around Bellmore visiting homes, group homes, and senior residents in the area.  Pastor Amy said it was a wonderful way to meet the neighbors around the church, as well as meet the parents of our Youth group.   Pastor Amy is looking forward to the challenge and joy of working the Bellmore Youths - who rock!  For more information, please contact Bellmore Presbyterian Church Office at 516-785-2590 and leave a message for Pa
