Bellmore Schools Go Into Lockout After Bank Robbery
Police are still investigating the incident.
Bellmore Schools went into lockout as a precaution after a bank robbery in Merrick on Monday.
In an email to parents, Superintendent Joanne C. Dacek wrote:Â
"As a precaution, we went into lockout. All school activities continued within the building. Since that time the police have advised us that an individual has been apprehended."
As of 2:30 p.m. Monday, authorities said that they are still investigating the matter.Â
