Joyce Goldsmith of Bellmore was named a finalist in the KJOY Backyard Barbecue Contest. Voting ends on Thursday.

Joyce Goldsmith of Bellmore has been named a finalist in the KJOY Backyard Barbecue Contest.
Goldsmith, put her business on hold a few years ago to take care of her father who has Alzheimer's.Â
"This contest has given me hope all summer-long. I'm a full time caregiver for my father who has Alzheimer's. I adore my Dad, but I have very little time for anything else. I would love to see all my friends again," Goldsmith told KJOY.
Goldsmith said that she and her husband will be celebrating their 35th anniversary on Sept. 2 and that a barbecue with their friends will be the "greatest gift of all."Â
The winner of the contest will have a big barbecue thrown at their house by KJOY. Representatives from the radio station will go to the winner's home, cook food for 25 people and provide beverages from Honest Tea.Â
A new grill will be brought to the winner's home and each winner will receive ice cream and tickets to an upcoming New York Mets game, courtesy of Carvel Ice Cream. Â
Voting for the winners ends on Thursday. Cast your vote here.Â
