Burglars Steal Husband's Ashes From Nassau Woman's Home
Police say the burglars ransacked the woman's home before making off with the box containing her husband's ashes, as well as cash.
Burglars stole cash and the ashes of a woman's late husband in a burglary in Bellmore last month.
According to police, the burglars broke into an apartment on Pea Pond Road on Oct. 29. When the 82-year-old woman who lived there returned, she found her living room and bedroom had been ransacked.
Police say the burglars stole the woman's wallet and a gold-colored box containing her late husband's ashes.
