Cops: Merrick Dunkin Donuts Robbed at Gunpoint
Police say there were no injuries in Tuesday's incident on 56 Sunrise Highway near the Merrick-Bellmore border.

Police are investigating an armed robbery that took place at a Dunkin Donuts on Sunrise Highway near the Merrick-Bellmore border early Tuesday morning.Â
According to authorities, at around 4:50 a.m. an unknown suspect with a handgun approached the walk up window at the eatery on 56 Sunrise Highway and ordered a cup of hot chocolate. When the employee returned to the window, the suspect displayed a handgun and demanded money. The employee gave the suspect an undetermined amount of money and the suspect then fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction.
No injuries were reported, police say.Â
The suspect is described as a black man in his early to mid 20s, who is around 5-foot-7 and weights 125 pounds. He was wearing a dark shirt, sunglasses and a gray scarf covering his face.Â
