Crimes Nearby Part II: Stolen Car, Fireworks Arrest

The following information is taken directly from the Nassau County Police Department's incident reports. None of the defendants have been convicted of a crime.

Levittown

• On May 25, police said a car was stolen outside King Kullen off Hempstead Turnpike.

Seaford  

• An East Rockaway man was arrested Friday morning after he allegedly bilked two twin elderly men in Seaford out of $200,000 on repair work that was supposed to be completed. For more on this story, click here. 
  

Wantagh

• Arson Squad detectives arrested a Wantagh man for possession of explosives after he admitted to setting off fireworks from his Park Avenue home on the night of May 25. For more details, click here.
• A man reported on May 19 that someone went under his truck parked at Wantagh Park and removed a spare tire. Two Oceanside men were arrested and charged with third-degree assault on May 30 following a brawl at Jones Beach. For more details, click here.
