I was a registered Republican and changed my party affiliation to Independent before the last presidential election. I could not identify with either party as they had both drifted away from me.
I have never fallen in love with any candidate. In reality they are human and have faults and good points. Don't fall in love with a politician, they will disappoint you in the end.
The election is over and we all need to take time and accept, and move on.

If you do not want to accept the results of the election, there are many who think we live in a flat world, or we never went to the moon, or vaccines can cause autism. We will most likely never convince you. If you invested your heart and soul in a candidate and they did not win, take some time and find common ground with who did win.
My kids do not use Twitter or Facebook, they consider it for "Old People." Don't get your news from social media. I find CNN too far left and Fox too far right. Try PBS they are more center then most. Don't accept any opinion and do some research.

We desperately need to find common ground and move forward. If we all need to take a few weeks then so be it.
We live in a multicultural world where we are in a global economy. We need to be united to have a competitive economy and allow our kids to have the future they deserve. We need to treat everyone fairly and equitably.
