NORTH BELLMORE, NY — No one was hurt during a North Bellmore house fire on Friday morning. Thick smoke was seen billowing from the top level of the Regent Place home.
Firefighters from the North Bellmore Fire Department got the blaze under control within two hours, the chief told Patch.
The fire was contained to a bedroom on the upper floor. A quick-thinking homeowner closed the bedroom door to keep the fire from spreading, the chief said.
