Flash Flood Warning In Effect; Water Rescues Reported In Nassau
BREAKING: Flash flooding has already been reported in some areas and water rescues are occurring. See which towns are in danger.

A flash flood warning is in effect until 2:30 p.m. for southern Nassau County and western Suffolk County.
Flash flooding has already been reported in Rockville Centre and North Bellmore, where the National Weather Service says first responders are rescuing people from their cars.
At 1:26 p.m., the National Weather Service says doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Up to two inches of rain have already fallen and additional rainfall is likely.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Levittown, Freeport, Valley Stream, Massapequa, Lynbrook, Woodmere, Farmingdale, Hempstead, Oceanside, Baldwin, Melville, Wantagh, Cedarhurst, Atlantic Beach and East Meadow.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
