Elizabeth's murder and Jackson's incarceration orphaned their son, Nicholas, who was two years old at the time of his mother's murder. He was adopted by Elizabeth's parents, Gloria and Peter Gangi, who raised him as their own son. They both died earlier this month, just weeks apart.
The petition is seeking 15,000 signatures to try to convince the state Division of Parole to keep Jackson incarcerated.
