Kennedy Boys Volleyball Win State Championship

"The team showed heart, resilience and determination rising for every challenge that they faced," coach Dennis Ringel said.

The John F. Kennedy High School boys volleyball team was victorious against Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake on Nov. 17 to earn the Division II New York State championship title.

The team advanced to the final with a 3-1 record in pool play including a two-set sweep over defending state champions Eden.

“This was an amazing run coaching incredible kids,” said coach and health teacher Dennis Ringel. “A state championship is the pinnacle in high school athletics, and to watch this group achieve it was extraordinary. The team showed heart, resilience and determination rising for every challenge that they faced.”
