Kevin Chandler to Lead Nassau County Wastewater Operations
Brings Decades of Experience in Wastewater Operations, Business Development

SUEZ announced that Kevin Chandler, a 30-year veteran in the water and wastewater industry, has been appointed General Manager and Vice President of the company’s Nassau County wastewater operations, effective July 1, 2020.
“Kevin has dedicated his career to helping our customers and clients and protecting the environment,” said Nadine Leslie, CEO of SUEZ North America. “One of the most environmentally sensitive regions in the nation, where hundreds of thousands of people live adjacent to fragile wetlands, requires us to ensure the protection of that environment literally around the clock.”
In his new position, Chandler will oversee the largest public-private partnership in management of a wastewater utility in the U.S. This includes three wastewater treatment facilities totaling approximately 150 MGD, 57 pumping stations and 3,000 miles of sewer pipe serving 1.2 million residents.

Chandler, who joined the organization in 1987, brings significant operations experience and proven senior managerial capability to his new role. Previously, Chandler served as Vice President of Project Development in Paramus, New Jersey where he was responsible for developing new business partnerships with municipalities and key partners throughout North America providing full service water and wastewater Operation & Maintenance contracts, design/build operate projects and large water and wastewater concessions. Prior to that, he served as Vice President and General Manager of the Midwest and Northeast, managing water and wastewater operations representing $150M in project revenue, 50 municipalities and more than 500 SUEZ employees.
Chandler served in the United States Marines from 1979-1982. He is a licenced wastewater operator with a Class A license in Michigan and a member of the Michigan and New Jersey Water Environment Associations.
