Mepham Footballer Finalist For 'Heart Of A Giant' Award
Anthony Novello is one of six student-athletes across the state to be a finalist. The winner will be announced at MetLife Stadium.

Anthony Novello, a student and football player at Mepham High School, is a finalist in the New York Giants' "Heart of a Giant" award. He is one of six student-athletes in New York in the running for the top prize.
Novello was one of 60 student-athletes nominated for the Heart of a Giant award. He was named one of the finalists after a six-week voting process.
He was nominated based on his commitment, character and teamwork. In addition to playing for the football team, Novello is a member of the school's Leadership Program, Athletes Helping Athletes, and St. Bernard's Program.

As a finalist, Novello has won a $1,500 grant for Mepham's high school program. The winner will receive an additional $3,500 for their school.
The winner of the Heart of a Giant award will be announced on the field at MetLife Stadium on Friday, Dec. 16, when the Giants are hosting the Tennessee Titans.
