NEW CCCS BOARD VP
HUNTINGTON AND BELLMORE RESIDENTS NAMED PRESIDENT AND VICE PRESIDENT OF CHILD CARE COUNCIL OF SUFFOLK BOARD OF DIRECTORS

At the Child Care Council of Suffolk’s (CCCS) recent Annual Meeting, the Board of Directors appointed Michele Lauer-Bader as president and Louis Hirschfield as vice president. The agency’s other officers include: Immediate Past President Linda Armyn, SVP, Bethpage Federal Credit Union; Vice President Thomas Buonaiuto, CEO, Empire National Bank; Vice President Patricia Quiason, VP, Estee Lauder Companies, Inc.; Secretary Alicia Marks, owner, Marks of Excellence; and Allen Breslow, Esq.
New CCCS Board President Michele Lauer-Bader is the former library director of Half Hollow Hills Community Library. She is a resident of Huntington and a member of the Leadership Huntington Class of 2016. She additionally serves as co-chair of the Advisory Board of the Huntington Youth Bureau.
New CCCS Board Vice President Louis Hirschfield has held various administrative and director positions in academia since 1969. He currently serves as the director of Pupil Personnel Services for Wantagh School District. Prior to that, Hirschfield was interim director of Special Education for the Port Jefferson Union Free School District. He holds New York State Certifications in School Psychology, School Administration, and Supervision and School District Administration. He has been an active member of numerous educational and/or social services boards and committees throughout his career. Hirschfield is a resident of Bellmore.

“I am very pleased to welcome Michele Lauer-Bader and Louis Hirschfield to serve as president and vice president, respectively of the Child Care Council of Suffolk’s Board of Directors,” stated CCCS Executive Director Janet Walerstein.
“Strong leadership on a Board of Directors is a vital component which significantly enhances a non-profit agency’s ability to provide essential services and resources to the constituents it serves.”
