Person Hit By Train Near Bellmore, Upends Morning Rush: LIRR
There appears to be 'no criminality' for the incident the involved the 5:12 a.m. train from Babylon.

BELLMORE, NY — A pedestrian was struck by a Long Island Rail Road train near the Bellmore station Monday.
Preliminary investigation by the MTA Police Department shows that no criminality was involved in this incident, a spokesperson the LIRR told Patch.
The LIRR first tweeted about the incident at 5:43 a.m. and multiple trains on the Babylon branch were canceled or delayed during the Monday morning commute.

The person was struck by the 5:12 a.m. from Babylon due in Penn Station at 6:14 a.m. That train platformed at Bellmore and customers were transferred to other trains.
The person's condition was not released.

Service was never suspended, although it was restricted to use of single track through the area, the LIRR said.
At least 18 peak trains were impacted by the incident.
