Rights and Responsibilities during the crisis of Virus Corvid19

I like many of you have been home isolating for months at present. We are in times like we have not seen before.
I have been to Newbridge Road Park on some weekends and have been dismayed. On 5/30 there was an attempted softball practice, little league practice, the week before a travel soccer team practice, and almost no one wore a mask.
The police had to park and stay at the park to ask the parents and coaches to stop having a organized practice.

1) The police have better things then to hang out at the park to prevent the softball coach from continuing his practice. He tried!
2) There is absolutely NO RUSH to have organized practices. You are not beating out some other team. Our kids are not going to be professional athletes. The point of sports is to have fun.

3) We have rights but we have more then rights, we have responsibilities to take actions that prevent the spread of the virus and make it possible to have the day when we can all get back to some semblance of normal life again.
4) If we all just do whatever we feel like we will very quickly will be back at square zero wondering how that all happened. As Americans we have the responsibility to slow down the spread of the virus and wear a mask to prevent others from possibly getting the virus.
* Nassau County has had more cases of the virus then a majority of states in America. When my family from other parts of the country ask me why I often say, "because we have many folks here that do not listen and do what ever they feel like doing."
Now is the time to take our responsibility as Americans to heart and work to maintain the ground we have gained in the battle with the Virus. Wear a mask when you go out in public and there will be time for the sports teams later.
