Southern State Parkway Ramp To Close At Start Of Weekend

NORTH BELLMORE, NY — Drivers should expect some delays traveling on the Southern State Parkway Saturday, according to the New York State Department of Transportation. The entrance ramp at exit 25 will be closed from Newbridge Road to the eastbound Southern State.

The shutdown is scheduled from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. for tree trimming, the transportation department said.

For access to the parkway, drivers can head westbound on Jerusalem Avenue to northbound Bellmore Avenue.

Drivers are encouraged to act responsibly in work zones. Fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone.
