Voting Underway to Settle Tie School Board Race
Voters to decide runoff North Bellmore school board race Tuesday between incumbent trustee JoAnn DeLauter and challenger Frank LaMagra.

A tie North Bellmore school board race will be settled Tuesday.
Voting for the runoff North Bellmore school board election between incumbent trustee JoAnn DeLauter and challenger Frank LaMagra is taking place until 9 p.m. at Newbridge Road School. The candidates finished tied at 799 votes apiece for the second of two two available school board seats on May 21.
DeLauter, who is seeking her third term, currently serves as president of the North Bellmore school board and is also a trustee with the Bellmore-Merrick Central High School District. LaMagra is a retired New York City Narcotics detective investigator who has lived in the North Bellmore School District for 18 years.
