NEW CASTLE, NY — The polls have closed and the early vote counts are in. Here are the unofficial results in the 2021 New Castle primary elections.

New Castle Town Supervisor race:

Holly AF McCall (Democrats 4 New Castle) defeated Lisa MS Katz (Unite New Castle) in the race for Town Supervisor.

McCall beat Katz by 18 percentage points in the unofficial final vote tallies.

New Castle Town council races:

Jennifer R. Louis-Jeune (Unite New Castle) and Jennifer P. Bounds (Democrats 4 New Castle) appeared on the ballot for a 2-year unexpired seat on the Town Board. Louis-Jeune recently announced she will be moving out of town this summer, but her name was not officially withdrawn from the ballot.

Victoria Tipp (Unite New Castle) also ran a write-in campaign, as a replacement for Louis-Jeune.

Voters overwhelmingly affirmed Bounds as the nominee.

Four Democrats remained in a dead heat in the race for two open council seats early this morning.

Council member Lori G. Morton (Democrats 4 New Castle) and Michael D. Weinberg (Democrats 4 New Castle) won the competition in the race for the pair of four-year seats on the Town Board.

Westchester County Clerk race:

Incumbent Timothy Idoni appears to have fended off a challenge by Yonkers City Councilperson Shanae Williams in the race for Westchester County Clerk with a number of absentee ballots still outstanding. Idoni had the backing of Westchester County Executive George Latimer.
