Barrett Clark: Actor, Record Producer

The retired voice-over artist was 87.

Barrett Clark died at his New Castle home on November 12, 2017, surrounded by family. He was 87
years old. He was an actor, voice-over artist, and producer of records and educational materials.

Born February 24, 1930 in White Plains, NY, he was the third child and only son of Barrett H. Clark and Cecile Smith Clark. He was predeceased by sisters Nancy (Kim) Taliaferro and Molly Day.

A voracious reader and lifelong learner, he had varied interests, talents, and intelligences. He graduated from the Hackley School in 1948, and worked at Riverside Records in the 1950s, where he undertook the label’s specialty recordings. He appeared in regional theater and acted in numerous corporate industrial films and television commercials. For more than 20 years, he was involved with the Beechwood Players in Scarborough, acting in and directing many productions.

He is survived by his wife, Jane (Allen) Clark; his four children Matthew, Christopher, Kitty (Cam Millar), and Molly (Mark Davis); his two grandchildren Benjamin Davis and Valerie Clark-Millar; and numerous nephews and nieces.

Services and the interment were held privately. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to GuidingEyes for the Blind, 611 Granite Springs Road, Yorktown Heights, NY 10598.
