Chappaqua DAR Supports Troops with Valentine’s Day Care Packages
Members of Polly Cooper Chapter, NSDAR created and shipped 12 care packages to service members stationed away from home

(Bedford, NY) The Polly Cooper Chapter, NSDAR created Valentine’s Day care packages for 12 service members stationed away from home on Sunday, January 5, 2020. Of the 12 boxes, members created 9 for female service members and sent 4 to service members from the community. Members donated food, coffee, tea, stationery, personal care items, and more for each care package. Operation Cookie Drop-Heart of the Hudson provided a box of Girl Scout cookies and handwritten notes for each care package. Additionally, the chapter sent 25 pairs of men’s boxers to the Chaplain’s Closet at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center located in Landstuhl, Germany, the largest American hospital outside of the United States.
