Chappaqua School District Public Budget Hearing On Wednesday

Voters will have their say on the district's planned $130,460,188 spending package for 2021-22 May 18, when the budget is on the ballot.

CHAPPAQUA, NY — The final public hearing on the proposed 2021-22 budget for the Chappaqua School District and the Chappaqua Public Library Budget Presentation will be held May 5 at Horace Greeley High School.

The meeting will detail the spending plan for the upcoming school year. The proposed budget is $130,460,188, with a 1.73 percent increase over the 2020-21 spending package.

School officials said the tax levy will increase by 2.03 percent if the budget is approved by voters later this month.

One board of education seat and one library board seat are on the ballot as well.

A Proposition question will also be on the ballot. Voters will be asked to approve $650,000 for a Greeley Gym Boiler Room project. The boiler spending will not change the levy amount.

The annual budget vote and board election will be from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. on May 18 at Horace Greeley High School, in the gymnasium.
