Chargers For Hospital Patients: Mount Kisco Hero
Katelyn Tooley of Mount Kisco was nominated as a local hero during the coronavirus outbreak.
, NY — When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented times. Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these everyday heroes.
This submission comes from Lorraine O'Connor of Bedford Hills, who nominated a family friend, Katelyn Tooley of Mount Kisco, for something that anyone with a friend or family member isolated in the hospital over the past three months will totally appreciate.

Why do you believe the nominee should be recognized or honored?
Kate has been delivering chargers to hospitals around the area through the POWER UP PROJECT. These chargers are need by patients who come to the hospital without their own charger. Since the staff are unable to lend their chargers to the patients, the patients are now able to charge their phones and keep in contact with their families.
She's been helping patients at several local hospitals including Northern Westchester Hospital, New York Presbyterian Hudson Valley, Greenwich Hospital, White Plains Hospital and Westchester Medical Center. Each hospital gets 100 iPhone and 100 Android chargers.
What's one thing you want everyone to know about your hero?
Kate is a wonderful, strong and kindhearted woman who is loves people and animals. She has a big heart.
