Closures Planned For Roads In Westchester County
The closures are expected in Mount Pleasant, Pleasantville, New Castle and Yorktown.
WESTCHESTER COUNTY, NY — The New York State Department of Transportation is advising Westchester County motorists to expect lane closures on the Sprain Brook Parkway and Taconic State Parkway for pavement repairs, Saw Mill River Parkway for highway work permit activities and Route 118 for milling and paving. Closures will take place at the following locations, weather permitting:
- In the town of Mount Pleasant, the closure of two lanes is expected on the northbound Sprain Brook Parkway, between Hospital Road and the Sprain Brook Parkway/Taconic State Parkway split, and the northbound Taconic State Parkway at the Sprain Brook Parkway/Saw Mill River Parkway entrance ramp merge, daily between 8 a.m. and 2:30 p.m from Monday, July 27 through Friday, July 31.
- In the village of Pleasantville and town of New Castle, the right lane is expected to close along the southbound Saw Mill River Parkway, between Exit 32 (Route 120) and Exit 29 (Manville Road), beginning at 10 a.m. Monday, July 27 until 5 p.m. Thursday, July 30.
- In the town of Yorktown, one lane is expected to close along northbound and southbound Route 118, between Route 100 and Route 129, weekdays between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m from Wednesday, July 29 through approximately Aug. 7.
Motorists should anticipate delays and plan accordingly.
Motorists are reminded to Move Over a lane, if safely possible, or slow down significantly whenever encountering roadside vehicles displaying red, white, blue, amber or green lights, including maintenance and construction vehicles in work zones.

Motorists are urged to slow down and drive responsibly in work zones. Fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. Convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license.
