D'Errico Jewelry, Staffer Give $1600 to Local Interfaith Pantry
D'Errico Jewelry Matches $800 Raised by Mask-Making Employee to Donate $1600 To Mount Kisco Interfaith Food Pantry
MOUNT KISCO, NY – Staying still is simply not in D'Errico Jewelry designer and sales associate Jillian McDonell's nature. During the New York State lock down Jillian designed, manufactured and sold 300 masks. D'Errico Jewelry's,founder, Richard D'Errico, D'Errico Jewelry's co-founder and owner, was so impressed with her work that he matched her $800 contribution, making for a total donation of $1600 to The Mount Kisco Interfaith Food Pantry.
“We are thrilled with such generosity at this difficult time,” says Roberta Horowitz, director of
operations and programs, The Mount Kisco Interfaith Food Pantry.
D'Errico Jewelry has won numerous awards for everything from jewelry design to being Westchester's leading philanthropic small businesses. Last year McDonell herself was named one of Westchester's most promising Millennials by Westfair Communications.

“These times are so difficult for so many, I felt a strong need to give back, and felt it best to donate locally.” McDonnell says. She has created her own jewelry line, which is sold at D'Errico Jewelry's stores at Scarsdale and Mount Kisco. “My masks are an extension of the creative processes I use with my jewelry. I felt it important that the masks not only be protective, but look and feel nice as well.” McDonnell also donated 50 masks to White Plains Hospital. The ICU nurse that handed them out said she “felt like Santa giving out the masks and putting smiles on nurses faces. Nurses have been doubling fabric masks under PPE masks for comfortability.
“D'Errico Jewelry is always happy to give back to our community, in good times and in bad,” Richard says.
