Disturbance At The Mount Kisco Library: Police Blotter

Police also arrested a Bedford woman accused of shoplifting at the Target in Mount Kisco and helped a 100-year-old who felt weak.

MOUNT KISCO, NY — Here are some of the calls to which the Westchester County police responded in Mount Kisco in the past week.

Friday, Feb. 14 – 2:46 a.m. – Westchester County Police responded to Diplomat Drive on a report that a man was sleeping in a hallway. Officers determined that the man lived in the building and escorted him to his apartment.

Thursday, Feb. 13 –4:40 p.m. – A 19-year-old Sleepy Hollow resident was arrested after he caused a disturbance at the Mount Kisco Public Library. Officers were called to the library when staff reported that a man in the library looked like a person who was responsible for some graffiti that occurred in the past. When officers approached the man, he began cursing, yelling and flailing his arms. He was taken into custody and booked at the Green Street precinct on charges of Obstructing Governmental Administration 2 nd Degree, a misdemeanor, and Disorderly Conduct, a violation. He was released pending a Feb. 27 appearance in Mount Kisco Justice Court.
9:22 p.m. -- Westchester County Police responded to a business in the 200 block of East Main Street on an activated burglar alarm. The premises were found to be secure and the alarm apparently sounded in error.
5:55 p.m. -- Westchester County Police responded to Grove Street on a report that the driver of a small white sports car was driving fast on the street and then slamming on the brakes. The vehicle was gone upon an officer’s arrival.
4:43 p.m. -- Westchester County Police responded to Maple Avenue on a report of a loud dispute between roommates. The dispute was verbal in nature only. The roommates agreed to remain in their separate rooms and allow the situation to calm down.

Tuesday, Feb. 11 – 2:53 a.m. – Westchester County Police responded to an activated burglar alarm at Burger King on North Bedford Road. A deliveryman set the alarm off in error.

Monday, Feb. 10 – 7:10 p.m. – Westchester County Police assisted a 100-year-old woman at her Boltis Street home after she reported feeling ill and very weak. Westchester EMS also responded and transported her to Northern Westchester Hospital Center.
5:11 p.m. – A 42-year-old Bedford resident was charged with Petit Larceny, a misdemeanor, on a complaint from store security at Target on North Bedford Road. She is accused of trying to steal $448.27 in merchandise from the store. She was booked at the Green Street precinct and released pending a Feb. 27 appearance in Mount Kisco Justice Court.
