Here are some of the incidents to which Westchester County police responded in Mount Kisco last week:

Friday, July 26 – 1:18 p.m. – Westchester County Police responded to a parking lot on North Bedford Road on a report that a dog was left unattended in a car. An officer located the vehicle, which was running and had its air conditioning on, and the owner was standing nearby.

Thursday, July 25 – 10:25 p.m. -- Westchester County Police responded to Amuso Drive on a report of a man having difficulty breathing. Officers and EMS personnel assisted the man, who refused transport to the hospital or any additional medical attention.

5:07 p.m. -- Westchester County Police responded to Main Street on a report that four children were playing in the roadway and impeding traffic. The youths were gone upon an officer’s arrival.

2:05 p.m. – A resident came to the Green Street precinct to report that someone had written a fraudulent check to steal $160 from his checking account. His bank, which is looking into the matter, requested he also report the theft to the police.

9:58 a.m. – A resident reported that her car was damaged by a hit-and-run driver while it was parked in a lot on Kensico Drive.

Wednesday, July 24 – 10:33 p.m. – Westchester County Police responded to Glassbury Court after a woman called 911 to ask for assistance with a relative who suffers from dementia. Upon arrival, the woman told officers the situation was under control and she did not need their help.

Tuesday, July 23 – 7:10 p.m. – Ishiah Jacoby, 61, of Grove Street was charged with Driving While Intoxicated, a misdemeanor, following a traffic stop in the Blackeby parking lot. He also was issued summonses for going through a stop sign and having an open can of beer in his car. Jacoby was booked at the Green Street precinct and released on his own recognizance pending an Aug. 15 appearance in Mount Kisco Justice Court.

7:58 a.m. – Westchester County Police responded to the Holiday Inn on Holiday Inn Drive on a report that a man was acting erratically at the hotel’s reception desk. The Bronx man, who was not a guest at the hotel, was disoriented and unable to tell officers how he had arrived at the hotel. He was taken to Northern Westchester Hospital Center for a mental health evaluation.

Monday, July 22 – 2:33 p.m. – Westchester County Police responded to the 400 block of Main Street on a report that an unoccupied gray SUV rolled backwards out of a parking lot, crossed Main Street and came to rest against the curb. Upon arrival, an officer was told by a witness that a man came out of a local store, crossed over to the car and drove off. The wayward vehicle did not strike any other car or cause any property damage so no further police action was required.

8:27 a.m. – Westchester County Police were requested to make a welfare check at the residence of a 90-year-old Spring Street man who could not be reached by relatives by phone. Officers determined the man was fine and advised him that his family was trying to contact him by phone.
