Evening Fire Damages Chappaqua Restaurant
Firefighters guarded neighboring buildings downtown to make sure it didn't spread.
CHAPPAQUA, NY — Firefighters battled a late evening fire in a Chappaqua resident Sunday. The call to Aesop's Fable came in at 9:52 p.m.
Firefighters ultimately had to cut a hole in the floor of the dining room to let gasses, smoke and heat vent from the basement.

Assisting from nearby communities at the scene were members of the Mount Kisco, Pleasantville and Millwood and Valhalla. Thornwood Fire Department responded to the Chappaqua Firehouse and was on stand by in case other emergencies occurred while Chappaqua Firefighters were committed to King Street. Westchester County Department of Emergency Services Dispatchers as well the Battalion Coordinator and Cause and Origin Team also worked at the scene.
