Hit-or-Miss Labor Day Weekend Weather In Mount Kisco

MOUNT KISCO, NY — Not a complete washout, but not completely dry either. That's what forecasters are saying about Labor Day weekend throughout the Hudson Valley.

"The storms throughout Labor Day weekend will be hit-or-miss in nature, soaking some communities but missing others just a few miles away," said Renee Duff, AccuWeather meteorologist.

The other thing they're saying is that the heat and humidity will return, including temps in the upper 80s on Sunday and Monday.

Speaking of the humidity, according to @nymetrowx we just experienced one of the most humid summers in the history of the tri-state. Some areas have spent nearly 1,000 hours with dew points over 70 degrees F, they said.

Here's the National Weather Service forecast for the holiday weekend in northern Westchester:

• Today-Mostly cloudy with a 20 percent chance of showers. Highs in the mid 70s. East winds 5 to 10 mph.
• Tonight-Mostly cloudy. A slight chance of showers in the evening. Lows in the lower 60s. East winds around 5 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.
• Saturday-Mostly cloudy in the morning, then becoming partly sunny. A 20 percent chance of showers. Highs in the upper 70s. East winds around 5 mph.
• Saturday Night-Mostly cloudy. A slight chance of showers in the evening, then a chance of showers with a slight chance of thunderstorms after midnight. Lows in the lower 60s. Southeast winds around 5 mph in the evening, becoming light and variable. Chance of rain 30 percent.
• Sunday-Partly sunny with a slight chance of showers. A slight chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon. Highs in the lower 80s. Southeast winds 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.
• Sunday Night-Mostly cloudy. Lows in the upper 60s.
• Labor Day-Partly sunny. Highs in the upper 80s.
• Monday Night-Partly cloudy in the evening, then becoming mostly cloudy. Lows around 70.
