Route 100 Reopens After House Explosion In Millwood UPDATE
Police said the road was open after being closed for almost three hours.
UPDATE: New Castle police report that Route 100, where a house explosion took place at 5 p.m., has been reopened to traffic.
MILLWOOD, NY — A house explosion in Millwood has sent emergency responders from several nearby communities and has closed part of Route 100. The explosion took place in the 300 block of Saw Mill River Road (AKA Route 100, AKA Somerstown Turnpike).
According to Kempter's Fire wire, Ossining and Chappaqua responded in addition to Millwood.

The Millwood fire chief said the house was vacant and no injuries have been reported, News 12 reported.

It happened at about 5 p.m., according to CBS2.
