The Skyliners Synchronized Skating Team capped a record-breaking season by becoming the first U.S. Junior team to win back-to-back World medals with their Bronze-medal winning performance at the 2019 ISU World Junior Synchronized Skating Championships.
“It was the best I’ve seen them perform all season, which is what you want at the World Junior Championships,” said Josh Babb, Skyliners Head Coach and Director of Synchronized Skating.
Coming off their 2019 National Championship win in Plymouth, Michigan, Skyliners Junior traveled to Neuchatel, Switzerland with high hopes. The championships featured performances by the top synchronized skating teams in the world, including fellow Team USA designees, the Starlights.

They also won Gold at the 2018 Porter Classic in Ann Arbor, Michigan and the 2018 Synchronized Fall Classic in Anaheim, California.
The Skyliners Synchronized Skating Team was established in 2001 by a group of parents who wanted to create the most competitive synchronized skating club in the tri-state area. In that first year, the team had three lines. Over the last 18 years, Skyliners has grown into one of the top synchronized skating teams in the country - now with 16 competitive lines, and 270+ skaters ranging in age from 5 to 26. While the majority of the skaters reside in the tri-state area, Skyliners also draws members from California, Florida, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Wisconsin and Finland. The tremendous growth and success of the team are attributed to the dedicated athletes, talented coaches and devoted Board members and parent volunteers who make Skyliners possible season after season.
