New Castle Primary Guide: Who's On The Ballot, How To Vote
There are two contests among 8 candidates for public offices in New Castle.

NEW CASTLE, NY — Democratic primaries, including Democrats 4 New Castle and Unite New Castle ballot lines, will take place June 22 in New Castle as candidates for town supervisor and town council seek a chance to be on their party's ballot line in November.

Town supervisor race: Holly AF McCall (Democrats 4 New Castle) and Lisa MS Katz (Unite New Castle) are running for Town Supervisor.
Town council race: Jennifer R. Louis-Jeune (Unite New Castle) and Jennifer P. Bounds (Democrats 4 New Castle) will appear on the ballot for a 2-year unexpired seat on the Town Board. Louis-Jeune recently announced she will be moving out of town this summer but has not yet officially withdrawn from the ballot. Victoria Tipp (Unite New Castle) is running a write-in campaign, as a replacement for Louis-Jeune. Councilmember Lori G. Morton (Democrats 4 New Castle), Michael D. Weinberg (Democrats 4 New Castle), Andrea T. Sanseverino Galan (Unite New Castle), and Tara M. Kassal (Unite New Castle) are running for 4-year seats on the Town Board.

Primary Day voting takes place from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. on June 22. Check the Westchester County Polling Place Lookup.
Absentee voting:
This year, you may vote absentee if you will be:
- Absent from Westchester on Election Day.
- Unable to appear at the polls due to temporary or permanent illness or disability (temporary illness includes being unable to appear due to risk of contracting or spreading a communicable disease like COVID-19).
- Unable to appear because you are the primary caregiver of one or more individuals who are ill or physically disabled.
- A resident or patient of a Veterans Health Administration Hospital.
- Detained in jail awaiting Grand Jury action or confined in prison after conviction for an offense other than a felony.
To apply for an absentee ballot, either by requesting an application or letter of application by mail, or sending an email or fax for an absentee ballot, the deadline is June 15.
The last day to apply in person for an absentee ballot is June 21.
Absentee ballots must be postmarked by June 15 or taken to the Westchester County Board of Elections by June 21. A mailed-in absentee ballot must be received by the local board of elections no later than June 29.
